Belongs to the Colchicacea family. The Dutch name for this group is 'herftstijloos'. Most varieties from this group bloom in the fall and are therefore good for naturalization in the garden and public green. Also, letting them bloom indoors without water has resulted in the name of 'dry bloomer'.
