Export and import requirements

Every importing country imposes import requirements. These can vary per country, product and year. By exporting flower bulbs and perennials, you need to take into consideration all the necessary regulations for importing flower bulbs and perennials into the destination country. This could mean that the products need to be free of soil. To achieve this, all the required products need to be cleaned by brushing or washing carefully in such a way that they will no longer contain soil. In addition the exported products must meet the requested classification for the destination country.
The flower bulbs and perennials are inspected by the Plant Inspection ( NVWA/BKD, NAKT ). If the products meet the requested quality standards a Phytosanitary certificate will be issued. This certificate will accompany the shipment to the customer.
Some countries require an import permit. The declaration on the Phytosanitary certificate must meet the requirements on the import permit of the destination country.

We visit all our suppliers during the flowering season and monitor the growth of the product to see and judge new varieties. Based on small tests we determine the market opportunities. Exhibitor Keukenhof

Tuberbulb Export BV has its own show garden at the Keukenhof, the world famous exhibition of flower bulbs. Together with QFB Gardening BV, there are two locations for consumers to purchase flower bulbs at the event. This enables the visitors of Keukenhof to order our quality flower bulbs and to create their own ‘Keukenhof’ at home.
